Abney

The dating event wrapped up and they were pretty much let loose. Abney could appreciate the crap out of that; they had been trapped in that section while everyone else got to hang out on the ship and enjoy the waters. There wasn’t much they could do, the day was wrapping up and the evening was upon them but at least the crystal witch got to enjoy the good food and the gift shop for a while! Abney ended up wandering the ship well into the night, even when she was mostly alone. The anxiety of what would happen next kept the witch up far too late but, unfortunately, anxiety over future events was something she could begrudgingly admit to being used to. Almost. The trick of sleeping hadn’t yet been learned.

Usually - she’d just lay in the hammock and stare at the ceiling but that wasn’t an option this time. Instead, Abney tightened the pony tail, tied the fancy sweater around her hips, took out her phone and plugged a pair of headphones into it and took off in a run around the ship. She might have looked odd to anyone else: a lone woman, jogging around the perimeter of the ship. Oddly, if she closed her eyes and imagined really hard, she could almost picture Odin’s halls instead of a cruise ships. The time slipped from the witch, who didn’t stop running until she could hardly breathe, sucking in air and exhaling it just as fast. This ship was nowhere near as large as Odin’s perimeter but the fact that she could only do her usual five laps made her groan out loud. “Damn it, I’m getting out of shape. Fuck.” Abney put her hands on her hips, panting and mumbling curses. After catching her breath, she forced herself to continue despite the fact that her lungs were burning and legs were throbbing and hurting. The witch didn’t stop until the wee hours of the morning, when the beginning tingles of sleepiness were beginning to make themselves known. Figuring she was alone on the deck, everyone else being normal and actually sleeping, Abney dragged one of the lounge chairs into the middle of the walkway before laying in it. The plastic was uncomfortable to curl up in, but the sky was worth laying back and looking. The witch cuddled under her sweater, watching the sky until sleep pulled at her consciousness. Try as she might, she couldn’t ignore the pull and finally fell into a dreamless sleep.

The witch awoke with a start, not sure what woke her up. It was one of those sensations that seemed like falling where you jerk heavily and your heart is racing. Pale sunlight tried to peek in but seemed like it was choked out by the clouds. Abney hummed to herself, stretching out and cuddling back into the blankets, content to fall back into a slumber. Her eyes snapped back open a moment later, the realization that it was the day after the event causing sleep to shake itself off and her heart kick back up again. Looking around, it seemed like her old room. Even some of the bronze accents were around that Seigmund helped with. Frowning, Abney turned over to see that no one was in the bed so she swung her legs over the mattress and went to explore the rest of the apartment. Perhaps whoever was here now was already up and going about their day? Abney took a deep breath and left the bedroom, not bothering to change out of the event clothes yet. "H-hello?" she asked as she peeked out the bedroom door, nervously and hesitantly.

Siegmund Gole

┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈

With the dating event coming to an end, Siegmund found himself isolated with only his data. All the students, staff and various individuals in limbo of titles or status. Perplexed with what to actually do with all this data, Siegmund found his systems set to autopilot as he ventured down the hull of the cruise ship, letting all his primary processors analyze the data. Each individual he had spent time with today was catalogued into various folders, sub folders and diagrams for future use. Each mannerism, action, expression and rebuttal towards his own actions was processed, leaving nothing behind. It.. perplexed him what the ideals he could set for a singular individual over the others, each of the candidates held unique traits suitable for survival in various ways outside of the academy’s walls. What was he supposed to find? What was his purpose for searching? With each passing moment and growing folders for the organic lifeforms, Siegmund began to notice a pattern. He was alone.

Taking this into consideration, Siegmund began to analyze his own existence. His recent memory spikes were rather.. Intriguing, but nothing that fully warranted a full investigation. He was a golem, a sentiment conglomeration of inorganic components now romping around inside an academy full of life. His only escape per say was to find a mate to become betrothed to and wed out of this place. From a statistical standpoint.. His chances of leaving were slim. Yet, even with these factors, he found a small iota of solace, of comfort even, knowing he would forever be among the living. For that factor alone, Siegmund could overcome the sensation of being isolated. This ideal of being trapped here however felt.. Hollow, empty. Like a void was being created in the subconscious of his processors. Unable to determine the source of these anomalies, Siegmund bookmarked his own concerns, ready to voice them to Abney or Toni when given respected time to do so.

Ί don't want to set the orld on fire
I just want to start a Ƒlame in your eart

The cruise ship was quiet this time of night, something Siegmund was just now beginning to notice as he switched off autopilot. His travels had brought him to the bar, albeit a rather empty one at that. All the residents aboard this vessel were at the poolside venue, but the standard bar was nothing but a ghost town. Seeing a fellow bartender behind the counter, Siegmund gave the causal greeting, sitting at the bar and ordering a Siegmund special. A large tankard was placed down as nearly everything on the top shelf was poured into the container. Small talk was… minimal, as Siegmund was at a loss of words. With the night air wafting a breeze inside, Siegmund thanked for his glass before venturing outside, staring at the stars above. What was he brought here for? Why was he sentient and needed? Was he even needed in the first place? So many questions flooded the Golem’s thoughts as he sipped his drink. The sound of crackling fire was the only truly audible noise escaping him, the flicker of flames dancing within radiated from the cracks in his metallic body. It was peaceful, tranquil. The soft crashing waves against the bow of the seafaring vessel hummed in the distance. The world was… peaceful.

In my eart I have but one Đesire
And that one is Ɏou, no Øther will do

Siegmund did not recall when his auto triggered shutdown sequence began, nor did he recall his trek back to his assigned living arrangements, but as his visual sensors activated, he found himself in his standard suite room. Several blinks helped focus his yellow scanners, taking in the notifications that they were indeed ‘back’ to normal environment. Dawn had come, the sounds of birds chirping outside and the spring breeze flowing in. It was definitely Heartless again. Making a quick note of it all, Siegmund disrobed and quickly changed into standard attire, fastening an apron around his torso. A grand entrance into the kitchen, Siegmund set out to not only practice his culinary skills, but also to create a meal for Abney and design lesson plans for his first class.

Though the day was still a bit off, Siegmund found it logical to plan out several classes at once, in case some of the options fell through. Since cooking was something he did often, he logically concluded this was a good starting point. Retrieving a few ingredients from the refrigerator, Siegmund began to assemble some simple crepes for Abney to enjoy upon her awakening. Creating the batter with one hand, Siegmund flipped through several books with the other, searching for a good concept of fillings. It was roughly around this time that Siegmund noted Abney’s voice chiming in, his head turning to see her head at the bedroom door frame. ”Greetings Abney, did you manage well yesterday? And last night?” His voice, stoically monotoned as ever, rang true in the air as he returned to his culinary duties. ”I am preparing a meal for you to enjoy. Do you prefer sweet or savory?” He questioned, making a crepe for her in whatever style she desired.

Antonette Vanko

The night hadn’t been too bad on the cruise. She had simply cleaned up and fallen in bed. At some point Val notified her that she had a message but frankly she was too tired to move.

The next morning she woke and groaned feeling slightly sore. Blinking as she looked around she realized she was in a slightly different setting. Frowning she pushed herself up on her side and put on her glasses. Not that she actually needed them to see, but it felt strange to look around and not have them on. She opened the message as she turned to see why the bed next to her was so warm. She grew wide eyed and yelped slightly as she threw herself backwards. She stumbled pulling the blankets with her off the bed as she landed with a very loud and painful sounding thump.

Groaning she pushed herself up and peered back into the bed as the message, the boy in the bed had sent her, scrolled across her vision. He had known they were gunna be roomed together?! Wait the results from the dating game… Arty had been one of her choices… Toni froze for just a second, her pupils dilating as her brain processed the massive amount of information that just went through her mind and allowed her emotions to catch up to her. Siegmund … he had picked someone else. So had her second. She wasn’t upset that she was roomed with Arty he had been the easiest to converse with and be around. It just hurt. Standing she dusted herself off and looked to the more than likely awake and probably worried Arty, but the first thing she noticed was the distinct lack of feet.

Could he phase? Wait… a few other things clicked into place… he had said his knees hurt yesterday… had he been wearing a prosthetists of sorts? It didn’t bother her but it did make her frown that he would feel the need to hide something like that from her. ”Morning” she said to him as she picked up the blankets and tossed them back onto the end of the empty end of the bed. ”I call dibs on the bathroom.” With that she hurried to the bathroom to shower. Curiosity got the better of her and she did quickly send a text to Seig.

To: Seigmund
Message:
I hope you ended up with the person you chose from the dating game.

It hurt to send it and she wasn’t sure why. So in true mechanical fashion she shoved the non-essential feeling down and started her shower.

Abney

The smell of food hit her before Abney finally got the courage to peek her head out. And, much to her utter relief, there was Siegmund. The hours of being nervous and anxious withered down to just a relief and a sense of 'thank the Allfather'. The relief and joy that she was still with the roommate that she had been getting along so well with was probably able to be seen in how her stony expression and tense body language crumbled into one of relaxation. “H-hey Seig,” she managed, giving a smile as she approached the counter. Abney almost wanted to hug him but she refrained, feeling that the Golem might find it awkward. Then the urge quickly rose to thank whatever powers, besides the Allfather, that was watching out for this small streak of luck. Suddenly Abney wondered if the school would be okay, even slightly, with an alter to a heathen god. Abney made a face at the thought, quickly filing it away to think about later when Seigmund’s question sank in. “Oh gosh yesterday was a trip.” Abney said, humor lacing her tone as she recalled some of the more awkward moments.

The Golem asked her opinion on the food, sweet or savory, as Abney slid onto one of the chairs, blinking while she tried to make up her mind. “Surprise me. But the event was okay, I gotta admit. I never expected the… diversity here. Like - I kinda knew in the back of my head but knowing and seeing are two different things completely. An Oni, and… two twins that can teleport and fly and - and there was a Mimic! An actual fucking mimic man; in my world, those are legendary and I’ve never seen one. One of my students is a Nephilim! He asked for some one on one lessons on crystals, he’s super interested in how I do what I do with my crystals. I told him we’ll have to see if it’s okay. And last night I was so nervous about the outcome - I literally just ran the perimeter of the ship until I went to sleep. Thor’s hammer, I was out of breath by like the fifth lap and that boat is a third of the size of Odin’s and I could run like eight of those before.” Abney babbled as the Golem continued to do his thing. But she realized she was babbling probably way too much about herself so she decided to switch topics.

Getting up, she maneuvered around him to grab a glass and get some water, disturbing him as little as possible while she did so. “How was it for you? The event and last night before you woke up here I mean.” she asked, moving to the counter to lean against and stay out of his way. By god, Abney didn’t want to do that event again, despite the acquaintances she’d acquired, and she sure didn’t want to have the nerve wracking wonder of who she’d be with next.

A simple Path, The road less Traveled
Pick up your Map, Lay down your Gavel
When all is Said and done
Only ove is on

Though the night had been ended with Artorias finally receiving food and eating alone, it didn’t truly feel like an isolated moment. Artorias knew in the morning he would most likely awaken next to Toni, his newly assigned roommate. He was definitely going to miss seeing Lulana in the mornings, or lack thereof until this day but… Arty would persevere. He ate his meal in peace, enjoying the subtlety of silence amongst a normally boisterously loud, overcrowded lobby that is a cruise ship. As the night was coming to a close however, he felt the fatigue of the day starting to overwhelm him, and before he could truly recall the transition, he fell asleep at his table, slumped back into his seat. Drifting off into deep sleep.

The sudden shift in the morning was.. Unique. Hearing a sudden startled yelp, Arty grumbled slightly in his sleep, rolling over to a side whilst his roommate was left to confusion about the sudden changes. It wasn’t until the blankets were revoked from his presence that Artorias truly stirred from his sleep. Was Toni always going to be this noisy in the mornings? Rolling onto his back, Arty glanced his eyes over in her direction, the realization of his missing limbs not fully sinking into his conscious mind. She seemed… slightly stunned at the moment. Had she noted something off? As the blanket was tossed onto the bed did he fully grasp the situation. She’d seen his amputation. Bolting alert Arty quickly covered his lower half with the mound of blankets, staring down at the bed as she finally spoke. Such a nonchalant morning, followed by claiming the bathroom.

What had just happened? Was Toni repulsed by his lack of appendages? Or had it only left her contemplating how he managed to maneuver around earlier? So many questions and theories flooded his thoughts, each one warping further and further from the truth. No, no someone couldn’t just simply accept him for being handicapped like this.. Could they? Lulana had, and it seemed Iain didn’t grasp the full concept of missing limbs being abnormal. Shoot, even Emilia was on board for being supportive. Letting the words sink into his subconscious, Arty thought it best to get his morning started.

Doubt drives this Thirst and Pain drives this Hunger
But don't let the Strife that drives your Life tare you Asunder
When all is Said and done
Only ove is on
Shifting over to the edge of the bed, Arty gazed down at his exposed thighs, the scarring from that fated incident still persistent even to this day. It sickened him to fully reminisce about those days, the constant isolation, the bullying. Hands gripped tightly at the bed sheets whilst he pushed the memories down. His body however reacted to his thoughts, manifesting some legs for him in his spite and frustration. Crystals began to form around the end of his scar tissue, forming a rather jagged prosthetic. A deep purplish red hue formed within the crystal itself, as various spikes protruded from the design. As it formed a rather crude looking shape for his missing legs, he sighed, taking in a deep breath. He needed to keep calm about all this, collect his thoughts, and form a better design. Once his mind was calmed, Arty was able to redesign his prosthetics, reshaping the jagged edges and protruding spikes into a more streamline, structurally sound design. He was going to need it today based on what the assignment in class was. From getting his legs fully designed, Artorias set about wrapping fresh linen across his arms, hands, and still flesh and bone legs. Though it wasn’t a necessity as it was back then, the scars still bothered him on a daily basis. It had become a habit to just.. Conceal everything from everyone.

He’d only gotten a chance to change into his attire for the day when Artorias took notice of the time. He’d spent way too long preparing himself for the day, and class was about to begin! Cursing under his breath, he knew he’d have time later to speak to Toni but.. For now he had to go to class. Hearing the bell chime, it whisked him away to the days assignment. Artorias spotted Toni over with her team, but figured it was best to focus on the assignment then try to explain things. A friendly wave over to Starlyte and Briar, Arty let a deep sigh wash over his conscious. Today was going to be difficult, he could feel it in his bones. Tuning into Solaris speaking about the assignment, the dread of having to actually run washed over Artorias. Physical exertion was not his forte.. Taking notice of the dummies they would be working with, Artorias began calculating how the trio could effectively work together.. Solaris approaching him however caught him off guard, looking up into their pitch black pupils. She was.. Enchanting him with temporary strength for today's class? It felt.. Embarrassing to receive a hand out like this, but who was Arty to deny his teacher? Returning to his teammates, he cleared his throat.

”Starlyte.. Briar.. I have a crazy… stupid idea, but it might be all that we have to go on..” Leaning in, he spoke in a hushed tone. ”Starlyte, you and I need to distract the teachers, while Briar retrieves the injured dummy. I can create a barricade for us, cutting them off but, I can’t guarantee how well it will work.” When they all seemed to be ready for the plan of action, Arty made a rather hurried approach to the clearing, clenching a fist before swiping it across the air before him. Erecting up rather quickly in fashion, various jagged crystals sprouted from the ground, blocking Clementine and Solaris from team two. Making several more crystal spires sprout up, Arty waited until he saw Briar take off with the dummy before he halted his crystals. Taking a quick run towards the edge of the forest, Arty dove into a bush, trying to steady his breathing. Solaris’ enchantment had helped, but his body still throbbed with pain. He HATED running.

The calculated effort that came with seeing Abney relax finally was energizing. She held that look upon her face of worry, of anxiousness, and of concern. Was she expecting someone else to be rooming with her? Based on his calculations regarding the events on the cruise ship, Abney and Siegmund had been the only staff members to attend the event, and as such they were unable to be roomed with any other of the competitors. It was only logical that they were put together. It was only logical that Siegmund had picked Abney over anyone else. Logic did dictate his actions currently, so why would Abney be so worried? Once her voice came to his presence, Siegmund was able to turn and spot her fully. ”It is good to see you this morning Abney.” It was always pleasant to see those who he found intriguing around. Perhaps he’d grown fond of some of them. It was an emotion Siegmund still felt rather foreign to however.. Maybe a session with Zila would be needed soon.

As Abney began to mention the evening prior, Siegmund tuned in better. She’d given him free reign on her meal for the morning, as he prepped her a few berry mixtures for her crepes. She began to mention each of the students she had an ordeal with, a few were ones Siegmund could at least put a name to, but the others were intriguing. Twins, mimics, an oni… each of them were all variables that Siegmund wasn’t quite sure where to put just yet. ”Sounds like your day was full of various levels of excitement and curiosity. Endorphins should have been released during some of those excursions.” He spoke, his back to her as he cooked. Once the meal was done however, he plated the food and presented it to her, taking a seat across the table from her.

Ί don't want to set the orld on fire

”Yes I had seen you run by at some point, before I’d taken my leave to the bar.” Siegmund remarked, eyes settling on his hands instead of on her. ”Perhaps a new training regimen is in order, I’ve heard the Gym teachers here in the academy can help you set up something to improve your output.” He of course had only heard such remarks from Zila, having only met the other teacher during the incident the day prior. ”I could arrange a get together with one of them should you require someone to help with reaching your peak fitness again.” As he spoke, he found a message trailing across his visual screen. A text from Toni, a small underlying tone of.. Sadness? Siegmund wasn’t quite sure how to compute these words she spoke. Letting his internal processors send a message back, he nearly hit send when Abney asked about his evening. The moment withdrew him from sending the message right away, as he contemplated the questioning. ”The dating event provided some excellent insight into the realm of organic lifeforms. It seems life isn’t solely based on birthing, reproducing, and dying. It seems there is more to existence than just the basic outputs and inputs.” His eyes trailed over to the window, as if watching the world pass him by. ”I wish to.. Partake in learning of this cycle. Of the minor in between moments. Those events had peaked my curiosity more than anything I suppose, and would provide excellent explanations into what my programming is for.” Whether or not any of that was true, Siegmund couldn’t say. He only wanted to learn more now.

In my eart I have but one Đesire
And that one is Ɏou, no Øther will do

As the sound of the bell rang overhead, Siegmund stood from the table. ”Well Abney, I am in need of finding reading material in the library. I have been assigned to a classroom to teach, and as such I find it inadequate of me to not study up on the lessons in which I need to instruct.” He made his way towards the door, looking back to her as she was eating. ”Should you find no interests to preoccupy yourself, you should be able to find me at the library or somewhere on the campus grounds. I’m sure my presence is not hard to locate.” With that, Siegmund took his leave for the morning. Opening back up his messages, he stared at Toni’s words again, trying to comprehend her message. Finally hitting send, he wondered if she would be too distracted during class to read it till later.

To Toni:
Greetings Toni, this is Siegmund. I do not understand the nature of this message, as I was only made the logical decision provided to me. As a faculty member, I have been provided with only a singular option on who I could ‘room’ with, so my actions were restricted to that alone. I do hope however you were able to room with the one you have desired. Perhaps Luke was the one you chose?
-Siegmund

Antonette Vanko

Arriving as the teachers did Toni paid very little mind to those around her. Her mind was in too much shock to be distracted right at the moment. She knew that Arty was in the class with her and she purposefully turned her back to him. Not so much because she was mad at him but more because she was FURIOUS that he would think another scientist like her would care that he had no legs. In fact her mind raced with ways to make prosthetics for him. From her research with Seig she knew how to make the connections to a neural network. Shifting in place she rocked slightly on her feet. She could see the teachers preparing for something big and it made her kind of excited. Looking through a playlist she selected one and had it play. Of course she was the only one who heard the music playing in her ear buds. Thankfully Val was monitoring those around her to alert her if someone spoke to her.

Blinking when she saw a message icon pop up on her HUD she frowned when she realized who it was from. Seigmund had replied to her. Reading the message she sneered. Logical thing… bull fucking shit. Then it clicked. The only other ‘staff’ that had been present was Abney. Wrinkling her nose in disgust she contemplated sending a very nasty message to Abney. However, her logical mind overruled her. Instead she quickly replied back to Seigmund.

To: Seigmund
Message: That’s some Grade A bullshit Seigmund. If you didn’t have the option to room with anyone but Abney they wouldn’t have allowed you to participate in the events with students. The school is pretty cruel about dangling things in front of us, but they don’t play around when it comes to our roommates. Why do you think they lock the students in their rooms at night? And no… Luke was not the one I chose.

Scoffing to herself she shook her head and turned to look at the teachers as she heard them speak up. She was fuming for the moment but knew she needed to calm down.

Abney

Abney listened as Seigmund talked about his evening. She didn’t interrupt him but she did give a slight shrug at his comment. It was almost reminiscent of their conversation at the dating event. “If you’d like to talk more about it, I’m all ears. Metaphorically.” Abney told, finding herself more than willing to help the Golem sort through the new revelations and thoughts. He needed to take off and Abney waved at him with smile, bidding him to have a wonderful day. But the library was a damn good idea; maybe she’d find out more about the school and how it came to be. Nothing like this sprang up overnight… right? The witch made a face, staring at the wall as she thought. There was weirder magics at work here and Abney wasn’t wanting to question it too heavily. At least not yet. Finishing the food slowly, the witch just kept thinking and mulling over things which made her lose track of time. Cursing herself, she put the plate into the sink and went to change clothes.

Keeping her sweater on, because it was comfortable, Abney switched out her top and shorts for something cleaner and grabbed her backpack. A random surge of remembrance shot through her and Abney stilled, wondering if they were even still in the backpack. Opening one of the buckled pockets on the side, the witch slowly drew out a charm on a corded necklace. Raven feathers with resin branches. ‘Allfather…’ Smiling to herself at the strange sense of almost comfort at the charms, Abney decided to wear the charmed necklace and feathered earrings. Raven feathers, after all, were associated with Odin in Norse mythology. The Witch fixed her ponytail, wrapping it carefully to hold all the charms and crystals in her hair, and bounced off toward the library.

For someone who was a witch, Abney sure had a hard time navigating the library. She couldn’t seem to find any books on the history of the school but she did find a few mythology books, if that counted toward anything. Either she really was bad at navigating or Abney simply wasn’t able to find what she was looking for. Taking a deep breath through her nose, staring down the library that Abney had gone through almost three entire times, she huffed it out. Flustered over her lack of progress, and frustrated by the search though she found random books that were kinda nifty, she approached the librarian’s counter. After not seeing the librarian, Abney looked around to see if anyone... librarian-ish... was around. Abney wandered around a bit only to hear someone talking in Japanese. Not just any Japanese but Feudal Japanese. Turning her head, Abney spotted a woman in black standing on a chair to hug a man. Huh. How nice. Shaking her head, she also then spotted a younger woman almost... hiding behind a wall. Finally - someone who didn't seem like a student. Abney approached her carefully. “I apologize for bothering you but are you the librarian? If so, can I bother you further for your help?” Abney asked, giving an apologetic smile. “I was wondering if there were any books here on the history of the school? I can’t seem to find any on my own.” the witch summed up as to not take too much of the librarian's time up.

Siegmund Gole

Although Siegmund wished to embrace the tinge of further explanations, but his curiosity for getting ready for assignments. His duty to fulfill the tasks given to him was greater than his own wants or needs. He was sentient solely for a purpose after all… right? Hearing Abney offer to listen to him ramble or speak his mind, Siegmund refrained. ”As much as that sounds like a plausibly enjoyable time, I must halt for now Abney. I need to tend to my assessment for future classes.” It was with this he left the suite, heading out for parts unknown on this imprisonment of an academy. His travels didn’t take him far, exiting into the hallways only to find the silence of the halls eerily mocking his presence. Why was such silence triggering strange algorithms to commence in his processors? Placing a hand to the wall for bracing, Siegmund brought his other hand to his cranium, detections of varying chemicals or unknown phenomena were commencing within his cranial processors. Soon, they were spreading to his visual sensors. Until..

Ί don't want to set the orld on fire
I just want to start a Ƒlame in your eart

Flowers. Fields of endless green. The sensation of a gentle breeze brushed against a rather unfamiliar sensory organ on his face. Was this actual skin? A rather human like hand lifted as his own made movements, brushing his cheek is it transcended from the now unseen wall to his hair. He could… feel things. Understand the sensation of cold and heat brushing against his figure. Eyes blinked rapidly, trying to understand where he was, and why he was here instead of Heartless. Was this a memory long forgotten? Casting his gaze around him, he found himself atop a lone hill in the midst of a vast plains of green foliage. Flowers bloomed all around his locale, shifting with an ever current breeze that never seemed to die down. All of this had a foreign feeling to its placement in his memory, but Siegmund had a hunch he’d been here before. That this wasn’t just some obscure vision he was witnessing. He had been here before.. And he wanted to know when.

Stepping forth from the hilltop, he found his own body weight was.. Different, almost weightless in comparison to his normally metallic composition. With each bounding step, he could hear distant voices, all speaking in varying tones or pitches. The words were.. Inaudible, or perhaps a language he didn’t comprehend. What were they saying? His curiosity was peaked, making a stride towards the sounds. With each step he took, the tones and voices grew in volume. Was he getting closer? His stride soon turned into a jog, and soon after a sprint. He wanted to know more! He had to know the source of it all. With a swift shift into top gear, Siegmund was in a mad sprint now to find the voices. What he found over another hill however brought him to a halt.

Smoke. Fire and smoke covered the landscape before him. The remnants of a burning city painted the world before him, the rubble and ruins smoldering in a hot, embering flame that was showing lingering death and destruction. Siegmund froze in place, eyes fixating on the horrors that was before him. It brought frustration, anger, and a mixture of many emotions his mind couldn’t fully comprehend. Hands balled into fists at his side. Who could have done this? Why was this city in ruins? But most importantly, why was he so concerned with this scenario? As the sight before him brought anger to his body, a burning fire seemed to engulf his being. He was furious. Everything around him began to grow white, and with a mighty, decisive swing, he hoisted his fists up above his head, slamming them down upon the ground.

In my eart I have but one Đesire
And that one is Ɏou, no Øther will do

Bright white light surrounded Siegmund as everything went mute. He couldn’t see anything, he couldn’t hear anything. Slowly however, the sound of an internal buzzing rang in his audio sensors, bringing him back to reality. Rubble and debris slowly fell upon his hunched figure, fists slammed into a deep crater formed in the ground. In his hallucinatory state, he’d wandered into the surrounding area of the campus, and struck out in fury. A sizable crater was his result, but where was the buzzing coming from? Looking to his messages, Siegmund stood to a standstill whilst reading Toni’s message. She held an aura of fury about her as he read her words. What was he to do about her? What was he to do about himself? Taking a seat in the crater he’d created, Siegmund responded to her. Hopefully classes would be over soon.

To Toni:
When you get out of class, please make haste for the fields outside. We need to have a discussion.

The plan that her team had come up with went off with minor difficulties. She was quite proud of herself for saving the dummy. Arika and Jeremie had pulled their parts off flawlessly. So when the teachers called them back to them she did her very best to not grin like a loon.

However, both teachers said the same advice. This caused a frown to form on her face. She took criticism to heart. A perfect score would mean they had no advice. So since they did she, in her mind, did not get full marks. Were the teachers talking about the others when they said not to use their abilities or did they include her in that? Either way the teachers were correct. They should have considered more. With a sigh Toni’s brain started working overtime and planning as she stepped off the field. She heard Jeremie say he was going to watch the other teams and she nodded back to him lifting a hand in farewell.

Pulling up Siegmund’s message she glared at it. How dare he order her around.

Pulling up a return message…

Feeling better about the message she hit send and set it out of her mind. ”Val, make plans. We need to increase nano production, suit design, create drop points, and improve the network of the school. That or just fucking take it over.” she just shook her head as she crossed her arms and paced around mumbling to herself. She saw Arty out of the corner of her eye but paid him no mind as she was too focused on what she was doing.

With a heavy sigh she realized she needed to deal with Siegmund and her hurt feelings for him. So much to her own irritation she made her way to where he had requested to meet her.

Siegmund Gole

Silence. The eerie silence befell the lone Golem as he sat in the midst of a crater. What had started off as a decent day was slowly spiraling into a mass of confusion, chaos, and misguidance. Siegmund wasn’t sure how to comprehend any of the notions set before him. He was a construct, but what he’d witnessed before brought a sensation to his existence he’d neglected to consider. Was he alive? Was there some core lifesource within his actual design? The more he tried to calculate it, the further Siegmund found himself finding any solution, any true answer. This falling out, this lack of knowledge fueled an emotional discharge in his core, as heat billowed from all vents on his upper body. Why couldn’t he understand? What was he missing in his memories? Who was that individual he’d seen?! Hands balled into fists again as they rose up, striking the ground beneath him in a fury of rage. He didn’t understand. He didn’t comprehend.

His anger subsided only to the singular ding of notification, alarming him of a return message from Toni. Having caused more of the ground around him to become rubble and ruin, Siegmund opened the message, only to see the emote icon flash before his eyes. What was this hand gesture she was sending? His curiosity for this newfound gesture was enough to sate his rage, as he crawled out of the crater, the school grounds filling in the dirt not long after he’d stepped forth from it. It was.. Bizzare. Was this a sign of anger or aggression towards their previous conversation? Siegmund was perplexed as the young Toni finally arrived, her disposition across her face definitely hinting towards irritation from the words provided. ”Greetings Toni. How did class fair for you?” His genuine curiosity was being well placed, but perhaps this wasn’t the right time. What did he know though? He was just a Golem after all.

In my eart I have but one Đesire
And that one is Ɏou, no Øther will do

Siegmund began to pace, a rather strange phenomenon for his own design. Occasionally his hands would reach for his cranium as he was speaking to Toni, but never in a cohesive manner. ”Toni, I have no comprehension of some visuals I have been receiving, yet for each one that flashed through my processors, I could tell that I’d been there at some point. Aside from that.” Occasionally glancing up at her position. ”I am getting a sense of elevated heat signatures from your body. Are you feeling well? You have been sending rather bluntly coded messages I do not understand.” Perhaps Toni was just feeling under the weather.

Antonette Vanko

As Toni finally managed to get to where Siegmund was she didn’t even bother to hide the glare on her face that was meant just for him. He greeted her and she nodded to him curtly. She didn’t bother to answer his question as he immediately went into pacing. This grates even more on her nerves. She had things to do!
Watching him pace back and forth she has Val recording him to analyze later on as she listens. He was seeing things? He called her here because he was seeing things? He was acting strangely but at that exact moment it didn’t seem to register with Toni. Instead as he asked about elevated heat levels she saw red. Stepping forward she struck him hard. It was purely instinctual and something she would regret later on but right at this moment… It just felt good. ”Why bother asking me. I’m just a lowly student. Did you think I couldn’t figure out who you chose? If you have no interest in someone it’s polite to tell them so you don’t lead them on.” she was about to unload even more when the curfew bell rang and she was ported back to her room. She was seething mad, but she was also hurting inside. She had finally put herself out beyond her comfort zone and gotten hurt because of it. Standing very still she kept her eyes closed until she finally felt herself calm. With a mental signal her armor retracted to the place on her body where the nano bots were stored. She would need to develop new delivery systems.

With a disgusted sigh at herself she ran a hand through her hair and went to the kitchen to grab a beer. She normally didn’t drink but she felt like she needed one tonight. It hit her that she had hit Siegmund and he had been trying to tell her something. While she waited for Arty to make himself known she watched and listened to Siegmunds recording again.

Opening a message to Siegmund she stared at it for a while before putting in the message.
To: Siegmund
Message:
Those visuals are probably recovered memories from your core. Have you tried accessing that black box you showed me?
I’m not sorry for striking you. You’ve hurt and pissed me off. You deserve that for toying with me. I will still do my best though to help you however I can.

With a sigh she sat back on the couch and looked up at the ceiling. ”Arty?” she called wondering if he was hiding.

A simple Path, The road less Traveled

Arty was rather pleased to find himself teleported to the couch of his dorm room. It meant he wouldn’t need to move. The soft cushiony seating underneath him quickly soaked up what disposition he had towards being comfy, a low sigh escaping his lips. There was no point in hiding his artificial legs from Toni, seeing as she’d discovered them this morning. So, in lieu of his worries, he reached down, working his magic to disconnect his prosthetics and setting them on the coffee table before him. Their design was well made, but after the shattering during class, they were a mess. Jagged, rugged protrusions jutted out from each which way, mixed in with the hurried attempts to reconfigure them together. It looked much like a jigsaw puzzle smashed together by a one year old. Dirty linen covered fingers laced together in his hairline, cradling his cranium as he stared down at his creations. They were definitely not his finest pieces of work.

Eyes were busy scanning over his raggedy pieces of crap when Toni’s presence materialized into the nearby locale. Judging by the movements she made, she was Not in a good mood. Huffs and sighs as scholarly ears listened to her enter the kitchen, retrieve something from the fridge, and pop the cap most likely sealing a beer bottle. Something must have gone down with the individual to have her in such a state. Perhaps discussing her troubles would distract Arty from his failures. As she plopped down next to Arty on the couch, the terramancer leaned back into the couch cushions, letting his arms sag to his sides. ”For an intellectual, I have concerns of your ability to take in your surroundings.” He jested, slowly rolling his head to look her way. ”Rough day?”

But don't let the Strife that drives your Life tare you Asunder

Sitting up slowly, Arty hadn’t even bothered to change his attire. Dirt still caked onto his tattered jacket as blood was dried up and stained along his pant legs, their empty space just dangling beneath his position. ”I’m sure by now you’ve realized what I’ve led towards about ‘restrictions’ to my studies.” Staring down at the legs before them. ”I’m actually really short.” Perhaps a little humor would help lighten the mood. A small smirk came across his face before letting it shift into oblivion. ”In hindsight though I am dealing with a predicament. I’d constructed these prosthetics this morning for optimal running, but what I hadn’t factored into their design was trauma from all sides, or even being used for crawling.” A deep sigh escaped, the shaking of his head in disapproval. ”A hefty toll was made towards my own success for class. At least my partners were able to finish the test proper.”

And it's the only Gift

That could ever Cost so much and still be Free

And my only Wish

Is that it finds its Home in the Heart of You & Me

Siegmund Gole

Siegmund had… been rather perplexed by the moment they were dealing with. Toni was not acting like Toni normally did when they interacted. She was quiet, yet showcased some intensely elevated levels of heat. Was she getting a fever? As he voiced his concerns Siegmund was met with a THWACK! clean across the face. The motion of her hand striking his face left him speechless, albeit painless for he was constructed of metal. Her words reached out to him but as she carried on her lamenting emotions, Siegmund lost himself. What was once yellow pupils and black sclera was soon replaced with bright blue eyes, flickering open and closed before gazing to her proximity. Confusion quickly flooded over his normally stoic and emotionless face. A frown had stretched across his face as oceanic eyes stared into the face of an angry woman. She was mad, angry, and upset.. But who was she? Before Siegmund had been able to voice his questions however, a rather ominous tone rang true around them. The chiming noise echoed in the landscape, and Siegmund found himself alone, the girl vanishing into thin air.

Siegmund shifted a bit on foreign feet, nearly toppling backwards as he caught his balance on his rear end. His body didn’t feel natural, artificial even. Where was he? Confused and alone, his head was on a quick swivel trying to make sense of the place. This didn’t look like home, and it definitely didn’t FEEL like home. Hands rummaged through the grass underneath him, but what normally was a tickling sensation was numbed by only the pressure of the ground beneath him. Sapphire gems trickled down to inspect his hand, slowly shifting into a trembling fear. His hands… his HANDS! Staring at these metallic recreations of humanoid ligaments, the sudden realization of his design began to settle in. This wasn’t his body. This wasn’t the body he’d sculpted to walk among the commonwealth. And furthermore.. He couldn’t detect anything of the remaining core beneath him. ”This isn’t home.. This isn’t anything like home.” A slow stern voice escaped his lips, the furrowed brow and frown depicting his rather disapproving demeanor on the situation. ”Where have I been brought to?”

Ί don't want to set the orld on fire

Running these rather bulky fingers through his hair, Siegmund stood, glancing to the building near his location. If he was going to get any answers, this was probably the place he would find them. Each step brought an unwarranted amount of shifting, this body had so much bulk and weight behind it. How did this host ever get around without immense strength or resilience? Each step took a significant amount of focus to hoist those hefty legs up, move them forward, then plant them down without too much ruckus arising. Despite his intentions at finding others though, Siegmund found little to no other life forms around. The buildings doors resembled school entrances, with long hallways riddling the labyrinth like design. Was he at some form of academy or prison encampment? With curious blue gems taking in the scenery, Siegmund made his solemn way down one of the many corridors, finding the lack of life rather… discomforting.

Was he alone? Surely this couldn’t be the case as that girl was here. That Girl! He paused at an intersection whilst trying to recall her name. Why had it eluded him when the very depths of his soul told him he knew it? ”Was that… Amelia?” It definitely had looked like the young girl Amelia from home… she had such a fiery personality yet cared deeply for others. To think Amelia would be in this place was rather concerning.. As the ground didn’t resemble home in any sort of manner. Siegmund felt no connection to the world around him, to the earth beneath these feet. Perhaps this body he was in didn’t have the capability to instill his usual control? Whatever the reasoning, it was worrisome. He needed to find some form of connection somewhere..

In my eart I have but one Đesire
And that one is Ɏou, no Øther will do

BZZT!! The interior of his cranium shook as a small screen came up before his eyes. Nearly jumping out of this artificial skin he bore, Siegmund slid backwards into a wall, a hand making a loud Clunk! as it collided with his chest. Whatever had just popped up had startled him! Squinting his eyes, he noticed that this rather transparent screen flowing before him was… a message? The receiver of this message was named Siegmund.. Was that the name of the body he was in? Reading over the message being delivered to this Siegmund fellow, It seemed rather tongue in cheek to him. Black box? Recovered Memories? Was this poor body having trouble deciphering an amnesiac past? Slowly standing to his feet, ‘Siegmund’ cleared his throat. The rest of the message mentioned not being striking him, a small light flickering in his head. This must be the girl from before? How was he to respond to this message… It seemed that just thinking about it prompted another message bracket to arrive, a blinking line awaiting his words.
To Toni:
H-hello? Is this the young lady from just moments ago? Please I implore you.. Where am I? My memory feels rather hazy on how I got here.. Nor can I detect my exact coordinates. Everything here has a familiar indication that I am where I’m supposed to be but.. I don’t feel anything. If you can meet with me.. I would like to ask things face to face. My name is Rigel.

The message was sent, a rather disbelieving factor that Rigel couldn’t comprehend yet. Things didn’t add up right now, nor was he going to get answers by just standing around. Pushing himself off from the wall, Rigel made down one of the various hallways in search of life. A hand reached out to touch the walls, using it for both a sense of direction and stability. Being so far from his home was.. Putting a drain on his thoughts. How was he surviving out here on this foreign soil without his.. Well, his body? None of it made sense, but as he rounded a corner, his eyes miscalculated the next step being a staircase. Foot dangled freely as his body lunged forward, unable to catch himself as the weight carried him forward. THUD! CLANK! CRASH! the heavy Golem body tumbled down the staircase. Smacking his skull against at least one of the steps, everything went blank. The body of Siegmund finally came to a standstill at the base of the stairs, sprawled out in a lifeless pattern. Eye sockets were empty, void of any flicker of life or a spark. He grew quiet.

Abney

Abney laughed for the first time in a bit. Emilia’s humor was just infectious and wonderful at this point. “Oh yeah - had to run but ya’ll stopped me. How dare you.” the witch jokes, continuing the conversation until just before the bell rang. Of course the ladies felt the transition and they traded numbers, Abney sending a customary first text to tell Emilia’s number who it was before the witch went to the workroom, conveniently avoiding Toni. Abney paced for a bit, her nose in the book once again. The witch’s pointer finger ‘wrote’ in the air while a piece of chalk actually wrote on the chalkboard as the witch continued pacing around. The determination to just say anything to her father was drowning her in a series of probably not so smart choices but the witch just wanted one message. Just one. Determination once again fueled her actions, as well as a general ‘fuck you’ to the rules, instead of letting the momentary setback rule her. After an hour of just pacing and notetaking, Abney sighed softly and closed the book to head back to the room. Pulling her phone out again, the witch played a song and danced down the empty hall to the music without shame. She had to entertain herself somehow.

Seigmund hadn’t texted her at all that day but she assumed he was hanging out and doing his own thing and the witch let it go. It wasn’t unusual, what with the little time they’ve been around one another, to go long stretches of time without communication. A ‘normal’ hadn’t been built yet; they had like, what, a week that didn’t involve a dating event? Yeah - that’s a decent amount of time to build a ‘normal’. Abney snorted at her own thoughts, shaking her head as she entered the dorm room. With a playlist going, the woman dropped her bag and her sweater on the couch; sliding around the floor, clapping and snapping her fingers to herself with a grin. Abney looked in the fridge, pulling out ingredients to a Nordic meal of Lamb stew with roasted mushrooms. Setting them on the counter, Abney pulled out the phone to replay the current song since she liked it an sent a teasing text to Seigmund.

‘Beat you here for once! I’ll cook dinner but d/w - I won’t burn anything down : P Enjoy your hanging out! ^ -^/’

Abney was completely in the dark as to what was happening with Seigmund and had been in the dark since she last saw him that morning. The witch was momentarily content to just chop up the vegetables and begin cooking even if she wasn’t as great as her mother was at the art.

Had the young raven left more or less conflicted than he’d entered? Zila could not be sure, she had only done her best. If the raven became a god, perhaps he would understand how that feeling was much the same as mortals experienced!

With a wave goodbye to the boy, the guard checked her watch. Almost the bell, huh? ”Suppose I should be off to the bar!” The goddess’s voice bounced around the room, announcing her intent to the empty air. Pushing away from where she’d been leaning, Zila went about her way towards the basement bar. She spoke with Siegmund there almost every night, and tonight she’d invited her new guard to join her. It wouldn’t be exactly like old times, but she’d like to get the rookie more acquainted with things! Perhaps she should invite Abyssia as well? Oh, she should have invited Clem! No matter, she could try and make a larger meeting another time perhaps, to introduce Kiyato to more of the staff.

The bell rang not long after Zila entered the bar. ”Hello?” She called out for the bartend, but found the space empty. Ah, she couldn’t help a slight shudder at the thought of going into the back room! She’d been locked up there for some time after all! Of her own volition, surely, but she’d far from enjoyed the time, particularly as the possession had been poisoning her body. The goddess rolled her shoulders just to feel how nice it was to be able to do so, rubbing her wrists as well, happy to be done with the restraints and bruises. ”Seigmund?” Booming voice would have easily carried to the back. The golem never left her unanswered for long. Was he not here? How unusual! Perhaps he’d decided to enjoy his time elsewhere? The thought brought a slight smile to the goddess’s lips. ”Good for you, if that’s the case!” She mused to the air, checking the time again. Would Kiyato arrive or had he also found something to do? She’d made sure not to make it an order after all.

THUD! CLANK! CRASH!

The loud noise carried easily to the bronzed woman, light green eyes flickering towards the door, feet carrying her to the destination. Opening the basement bar door immediately revealed the source of such a large metallic clanging! There at the bottom of the stairs lay the hefty golem, appearing to have literally had the lights in his eyes turned off. Zila quickly moved beside the lifeless form, unbuttoning jacket and vest and white button up shirt quickly to check on the Golem’s internal fire. Just as she’d opened him up, the guard heard a familiar tone. A phone? It must have been the bartenders! Reaching into the pocket of floral, purple pants, the woman retrieved the phone, the screen seemingly having been cracked in the tumble, but it was still in working order.

”You’re roommate?” Zila said to herself as she saw part of the message, rather than trying to write back, the goddess pressed the button to call back, making her way towards the bar to get fuel for Seig’s fire. As soon as Abney answered the phone, the guard spoke in an authoritative tone.

”Hello? Abney? This is Zila, head guard. Siegmund took a tumble down the stairs. You are an engineer, I will make sure his fire is tended to but he may have damaged other components. Come down to the basement bar. I’ll see you here.”

Waiting only for a confirmation, Zila hung up the phone and returned to Seigmund’s side with matches, alcohol, and some towels. She tended to the fire which roared in the golem until Abney arrived. ”I can move him if required!” The guard informed the woman. Seigmund may have weighed upwards of three hundred pounds, but the goddess had enough belief these days to manage that heft, and she could even more easily do so if Abney believed she could. It was not until they were certain of Seigmund’s stability that Zila stepped aside a moment to contact Kiyato.

Text to Kiyato:

The bartender took a nasty tumble down the stairs, it seems I will be unable to meet you for drinks tonight! I will see you at the security office tomorrow morning!

Ah, she should also check in with Abyssia!

Text to Abyssia:

It has been an incredibly busy evening, as if to make up for the quiet of the morning! I am attending to an accident, but I hope to return and hear your news soon!

Why did the goddess know Abyssia had news? Well, she’d cheated! Zila had read that Abyssia had been changed to be a school counselor this morning when she was in the guard’s office. She was sure Abyssia would tell her about it.

Abney

Abney was still in her own world, bringing things to a boil and making sure the temperatures weren’t too high to where things would burn. That’s when her phone began to ring. Confusion poured into the witch before she plucked the thing out of her pocket, the sudden absence of her music making her ears ring. It was Seigmund but… he hadn’t ever call her before. Oh well, it was a first time for everything! “Witch speaking!” Abney chimed, figuring it was funny but another woman began speaking into the phone in an authoritative tone that made Abney stop stirring the pot and listen, shaking her head after a moment as she tried to comprehend the words she was hearing. “He did what? Is he okay? O-okay - I’ll be there in a few.” Abney caved, dropping her spoon and hanging up. “Don’t let my food burn!” she shouted to the sentient school but figured it would do nothing to help.

After racing down the hall, Abney suddenly remembered she forgot to ask where the bar was. Cursing herself for forgetting her map and forgetting directions, the witch settled to find the bar on her own and hoped her Viking alcohol radar helped. It didn’t. It took her a good solid few minutes to reach the bar, looking down at Seigmund’s body and the blue haired woman that was there. He was crumpled on the floor as if his body gave out mid-walk which confused Abney greatly, giving a glance to Zila before kneeling next to his body to begin her observation. “So you’re Zila; I heard a thing or two about you. Nothing horrible, I assure you.” the witch informed, beginning to check Seigmund over, moving him gently every so often and taking assessment of his injuries.

When Zila offered to move him for the witch, Abney took a double take to the woman. She was as tiny as Abney was! How the hell was she gonna lift the heavy golem?! “U-uh… N-no offense but how in the world are you gonna move him? He weighs like five hundred pounds… We can try to move him together!” Abney offered, leveling the blue haired woman with a questioning stare. It didn't occur to Abney in that moment that the woman might have been extra strong but Zila’s could-be abilities wasn’t the first thing on her mind, the fact that her roommate somehow took a tumble down the steps was on her mind. The security officer must have been the one to get the supplies and stoke Seigmund’s flame while Abney was sprinting around the halls. The witch made a mental note to thank the other woman later when the situation had calmed down.

How had the Golem managed to tumble down the stairs? Truly he was not the kind to be clumsy! Had his core fire been near extinguished? Perhaps someone had pushed him down the stairs? Or there was a hazard on the stairs themselves? Zila certainly hoped it had not been the cause of another! For them she would need to investigate the staff, as this incident had taken place after the curfew bell. Satisfied that she’d tended to the Golem’s internal flame, the woman jogged up the stairs, looking for any indication of what had happened. The stairs themselves had taken a beating from that heavy metal frame! The school would undoubtedly repair that damage soon. There was nothing which appeared slick on the stairs, no obstacle at the top, and no sign of anyone in the halls above. Hopefully the Golem himself would have an answer for his sudden accident!

Wherever was that witch? Zila had not considered that the woman would not know one of Seigmund’s primary places of work. Descending the stairs, the goddess came to crouch next to Seig once again, hovering her hand over his internal flame. It had been so off colored and small when the bronzed woman had first checked it. The addition of towels and alcohol for fuel seemed to have emboldened it at least somewhat. The woman at least believed him to be stable!

Alas, Abney arrived, donning all black, down to accessories, a truly witchy look indeed. ”Not everyone takes kindly to gods so I would not be terribly surprised if you had, though I do attempt to maintain a positive reputation!” Zila boomed, watching as the pale skinned woman checked over the Golem’s condition. She offered to move him for the woman, who unfortunately did not believe in the goddess. That did limit Zila, but rather than becoming frustrated, the woman smiled a large, confident grin. ”You need not help! Even if he was a thousand pounds I would surely ferry him to his destination safely! Simply lead the way, if you wish him moved.” The confidence did the trick, skepticism changing to cautious belief. It was enough for the goddess!

Once given a heading, the Golem’s internal fire and concealed and his shirt buttoned back up. Zila hefted up the man, who was of equal height but greater weight than herself. She settled the golem over her shoulder, winking to the flabbergasted witch. ”Doesn’t even burn! Let us be on our way. His head will not tend to itself!” She said of the gash and scratches the metal frame had managed to sustain when coming into quick, violent contact with hard marble corners. Marble corners that, thanks to the school’s magic, were no longer crumbled as the goddess and witch made their way up them, and headed to the gym. The secret workshop room was known to Zila, but she waited for Abney to access it before following the witch into it. The tools within were truly in huge variation! The bronzed woman carefully settled the Golem down onto a surface that Abney indicated. ”I believe this is where I leave him in your hands.” The goddess’s voice boomed in the small room, but she made no action to leave, she was still at the witch’s disposal, if needed.

Abney

Abney watched this tiny, skinny woman haul Seigmund over her shoulder and her jaw dropped. The witch hadn’t expected that today. She also hadn’t expected to be called to tend to Segmund’s wounds after he fell down some steps. The engineer also didn’t expect the head of security to be a god, apparently. Today was just full of surprises. Zila led until they got to the work room and Abney unlocked it, watching the goddess lay the cyborg down. “Any idea as to what made him fall?” Abney asked, giving Zila a glance before she began assessing him further. Without stoking, the flame grew smaller until it was just a tiny light and it was… an abnormal color. Abney hummed, turning her focus onto his head and the huge gash that currently resided there with the minor cuts to his face. There wasn’t much the engineer could do considering she hadn’t known much about how Seigmund functioned; the most she could do was bandage up his head and face, glancing to Zila.

Giving a small laugh, she motioned to her roommate. “Can - can you help me get him back to our room? I’ll wait around for him to power up and see what I can do about those cuts.” she asked, now fully confident in the woman’s ability to lift her roommate. Upon reaching the room, Abney made a face as to where to lay him and suggested the floor so she could stoke the flames without setting their various furniture on fire. Speaking of his flame, Abney skipped over to the kitchen and grabbed some alcohol and paper towels to start dousing the thing. It would be easier than channeling magic through it, that was for damn sure. Oh and the food didn't burn! How wonderful! The stew would come out beautifully and the witch would have to thank the sentient school for whatever assistance it gave to her. Grinning, the witch turned around to tend to her roommate while flipping through channels on the TV.
